		<description>Google does need to assign an engineer to speak to the development community, not necessarily Andy Rubin, but a head engineer like Google does with Matt Cutts who is the defacto Google spokesman for the SEO community about spam and algorithm updates.

I would advocate for Jean-Baptiste Queru to be that engineer within Google - although he may be too blunt for Google's liking :)
